Meet the Instructors |
|
George
Celona- George is a World Tang Soo Do Certified Sam Dan , 3rd
degree black belt certified instructor who has been training in Tang Soo Do
since 1990. George has competed in tournaments at the local, regional, and
international levels. He began training at Shin Karate Institute, but received
his black belt under Master Ron Raver of Pal Che Tang Soo Do, and currently
trains under Master Joe Centrone. George also holds a Master’s degree in
Secondary education and teaches physics at Springfield
High School.

Angel
Celona- Angel started training in 1994 in the Collingdale (PA) recreational center,
at age 10. She currently holds the rank of Sam Dan, or third degree black belt
in the World Tang Soo Do Association. Angel’s expertise includes strength,
cardiovascular and flexibility training. Angel also studies weapons training,
street self defense and judo. Outside of the WTSDA, Angel is a certified
personal trainer and also works as an account manager for Brite Star
Manufacturing Company in Philadelphia, PA.

Jon Blessington-
Jon began his martial arts training at the
age of 15. Master Ron Raver was his instructor in the style of
Tang Soo Do,
in which he holds the rank of E Dan, or 2nd degree black belt. Jon
furthered his training while in graduate school at
West Virginia University
where he began training under Master Scott Homschek, under whom Jon engaged in
regular training and tutelage with edged weapons; in particular the knife and
flexible weapons. Jon also began study in the
Japanese martial art known as Owashin Ryu through his close associate
Giuseppe Lucarelli.
During his past three years of graduate research at Wright Patterson Air
Force Base, Jon began training with the Air Force boxing team under coaches Gary
Deadon and Eric Garcia.

1. They hold a total of over 25 yrs teaching experience
and 40 yrs training experience.
2. All have experience teaching outside of martial arts
as well.
3. Winners of numerous awards at Tang Soo Do Tournaments
in forms, sparring, weapons, breaking, and creativity.
4. Instructors have experience training in other arts including
Judo, Kendo, Hapkido, Jujitsu, Owashin Ryu, Boxing, and others.
